Women in Flatland.
A book representing the way in which Women are percieved in Flatland, concentrating on the chapter ‘Concerning the Women’.
In the novel Women are described in a negative manner, therefore after finding the descriptions offensive, I wanted to play on the way they could be percieved.
Using tools such as a needle and the notions of lines I produced a delicate and intricate piece. I altered the book physically, to create a perception of Women which reflects their beauty in a positive manner within Flatland.
I kept the book white as there was no talk of colour within the chapter and I wanted the book to be purely on the subject, with no distraction.
